This revival group from the Bates College, Lewiston, Maine formed by Tom Hust, Mike Ladd, Russ Wood, Brian MacDonald, Bruce Tacy, John Walker and Paul Elsesser first know as The Deansmen recorded for Century records in 1974 a Lp under the group name of The Hubcaps with doo wop & Rock & Roll songs as "I Wonder Why", "Teenager in Love", "Silhouettes" or "At The Hop".

A recording that I think is very little known to fans and does not appear on YouTube.

Drawing of Dion DiMucci made by Esoterica Art Agency (Look for them on the internet) based on a 60's photo of said singer.

Look at the drawing and the original photograph below, I think it is a very good artistic work.

Richie Ciocco from South Philadelphia signed in 1959 with Gone Records in New York owned by George Goldner where he would record four singles (two in Gone and two more in Goldisc) one of them present in the doo wop music guides under the name de Richie Robin ....

-Strange Dreams / Branded. Gone records-1959.

This recording had the vocal support of a mix of black female singers with male white pop singers which made its sound unattractive to teenagers of the late 50's.

One of their songs is available on YouTube, however it is very difficult to see the 45 rpm vinyl of The Swaydes on Accolade records from 1965 with the songs "Remember Me / Look Out For Him".

This recording is present in Jeff Kreiter's guide, but does not appear in the book "The Complete Book of Doo Wop".

Made in 1965 it is considered one of the last white doo wop recordings.

In these days of Christmas holidays I have taken the opportunity to upload a handful of new songs to my YouTube channel, some of them for the first time on YouTube like this one from The Pledges "I'm Sorry" from 1959 for Hamilton records.

This song by The Pledges is a studio recording by singer Bob Mahoney (of the group The Haciendas, see in this blog) with the vocal support of his wife, Dottie, his sister Zella Yurak and a friend of these, Sally Terese and also some male studio singers.

Original publicity photo of the group Debbie & The Diplomats from Chicago with Debbie Kelly in the leading voice present in the doo wop music guides with...

In this recording they have a pop sound and I think it shouldn't be in the doo wop guides.

A rare photo difficult to see.
