THE LIDOS (Band Box Records).

Band from the Aurora Central High School in Colorado (suburb of Denver) consisted of Gary Nale (Lead Guitar and Vocal), Gary Flick (Bass/Vocal), Dwight Silvis (Keyboards/Vocal) and Robert Sauner (Drums).

In mid 1964 they paid a recording session in the studio on West 41st. Ave. where recorded  the sides written by Gary_Trudi / Since I Last Saw You. A side dedicated to Gary's girlfriend. the band cut the sides in one hour or two at the outside (roughly 2 takes) in primitive conditions . This would explain the rather poor recording quality of the songs.

The songs were presentet to local label Band Box records owened by Vicky Morosan who in late 1964 released the sides as a Band Box #359 single.

With the british invasion the band played several concerts for two years, but when some of its members left, dissolved without made ​​another recording.

Really I don't know if this chorus group is completely black, interracial or if they backup to a white lead singer but if know that their side_Please Tell Me (b/w_Open Up Your Door) recorded in 1961 for Anton records (only present in the Kreiter's guide) have a good white doo wop sound.

Interracial group stationed at Luke Air Force Base West of Phoenix,AZ formed by (L to R on the above picture) Al Linde, Paul Robertson, Bob Zoidis, Charles " Pedro" Buford and Henry Truesdale.

In August, 8, 1962 backed by the Mike Metko Combo recorded the sides_My Heart / I Neer You Love So Bad.  released by Ramco Records in the end of 1962. The label only pressed 300 copies and today this recording is considered very rare with a value in the Kreiter's guide of $1500.

LONNIE MAE with Gene & his Satelites.( Gene Cornish later was a member of the popular '60s blue-eyed soul band the Rascals).

This singer is not present in the doo wop books, but his song "I Cried a Teen Age Tear"  is a good candidate to be on all the doo wop guides.

Andy & The Live Wires lead by Robert "Andy " Anderson were present in The Complete Book Of Doo Wop with their 1960 recording_Maggie / You've Done It Again. on the Omaha, Nebr. based label, Applause Records.

But these two sides not have a doo wop sound, A Side is instrumental and B Side have a rockabilly sound.

Ray Clauson & The Teen Tops (aka The Continentals) were a band from the Narimasu High School in Tokyo, Japan. formed by Ray Clauson, Joanie Seitz, Grant Williams, Sue Clauson (Ray's sister), bassist Tom Robinson, drummer Terry Shane and Charley Brown, they were long-time members. Singer Anita D'Elosua and guitarist Jim McConville stayed only a short time.

In 1963 three members of The Vice-Roys (see in this blog) on Ramco Records, from L-R on the picture above; Al Linde, Bobby Zoidis and Charles "Pedro" Buford, recorded together for this label as Brother Zee & The Decades.
