Richard Elvern Marsh was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1937. In 1961 he moved to California where he got a temporary job helping to dig a pool. The owner of the pool is Darla Hood, a child actress and currently the wife of Jose Granson, owner of a record label called Acama.
Richard convinced Darla to record on this label alongside him as Richie Marsh and the Hoodwinks, "Baby Baby Baby" / "Half Angel", both written by Darla.
-Half Angel " is very reminiscent of the classic of The Penguins" Earth Angel "and is present in the Jeff Kreiter's guide.
