Scott Garrett was left on the steps of a church in Pittsburgh when he was six months of age. Then he was adopted by a religious family and as a teenager he was sent to different religious schools so that in the future he could be ordained a priest there he began to sing in the choirs.
At the age of 22 and with the explosion of the Rock & Roll music, Scott abandoned his religious career and moved to Washington where he would be part of Roger Mendez's band, there he was discovered by DJ Milton Q. Ford who signed him for his radio progam.
A late year he moved to New York where with the help of Elise Britton (a composer and singer with Ray Charkes and Perry Como) got a contract for Laurie records where in January 1959 he would record the songs "A House of Love" / "So Far so Good"(with vocal accompaniments by Elise)followed in May of this same year of "Love Story / Graduation Souvenirs" in this recording he is accompanied by the white group The Mystics (Below photo).

Due to the low promotion of his recordings by Laurie records (who at that time was focused on promoting groups like Dion & the Belmonts or The Mystics) his songs were heard very little and he was soon forgotten by the music industry falling into oblivion.
Only the last recording for Laurie records is present in the doo wop music guides.
